KTK2024
KTK Design Award is a design competition for Chinese youth around the world founded by Mr. Kan Tai-keung, a famous Chinese designer, in 1999. The theme of 2024 competition is TOOL, which discusses the impact of current tools on designers.
"The Crow and the Pitcher" is a well-known fable that tells the story of a crow who is good at thinking, brave to try, and innovatively uses tools when encountering problems, and finally achieves his goal, which is very consistent with the theme of TOOL. I reproduce this thought-provoking fable through physical construction, and transform it into a unique visual language through photography, which should be in terms of materials, gifts, space, installations, etc.
The competition visuals show a strong philosophical, interesting and interactive nature, which has aroused heated discussions in the Chinese design circle and attracted more designers to participate than in previous years.
From another perspective, I used the most primitive tools to complete this design commission, hoping that through this clumsy behavior, everyone will reflect on the current design status.
