Peco Table Lamp
The design of the Peco Peco Table Lamp is inspired by the Peco Peco in the tropical rainforest. The designer abstracts the shape of the bird and uses the Fibonacci series to make subtle and precise adjustments in the body design to make the overall proportion more coordinated. The smart and smooth form is playful and rigorous, just like a delicate sculpture.
The Peco Peco's posture leans forward, as if it will spread its wings and soar high in the next moment. The unbalanced vision makes the lamp more vivid, and the solid marble base ensures its dynamic stability. The brass lampshade simulates the shape of a bird's beak and is embedded with a white acrylic shading plate. A trapezoidal groove is carved on the edge of the metal inner wall, so that the arc-shaped concave structure at the bottom of the shading plate can be firmly embedded in the bird's beak without screw fixation. Turn on the switch, the soft light emitted by it is in sharp contrast to the solid texture of marble, which is smooth and warm in vision and touch.
As a work of art that combines mathematical aesthetics and natural inspiration, the Peco Peco table lamp can be used as a lighting fixture on the desk, and can also be used as an atmosphere lamp in the bedroom and living room. Any space will be full of free and casual because of its existence. Artistic atmosphere.
My creative practice:
Inspiration and abstract transformation: Get inspiration from the Peco Peco in the tropical rain forest, abstract the shape of the bird, and extract its core characteristics, so that it not only retains the vividness of natural elements, but also conforms to the simple aesthetic of modern design.
Mathematical aesthetics into the design: the clever use of Fibonacci series to adjust the shape of the lamp proportion, so that the overall shape is more harmonious and balanced, reflecting the perfect combination of mathematics and art.
Combination of form and function: design a forward posture, give the lamp a smart visual effect, while ensuring its stability and practicality, taking into account the artistic expression and functional needs.
Material and process innovation: brass and marble are selected, and the seamless connection between the shading plate and the lampshade is realized through fine carving and inlay process, creating a unique texture and visual effect.

He studied under Professor Yu Lizhan of Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts and famous Chinese designer Lu Zhirong. He has a personal collection of more than 2,000 original designs. He is well versed in modern design aesthetics and production technology. He has won 12 national scholarships of the Ministry of Education of China, first-class scholarships of the school, etc. His design works have won the German Red Dot Award, the German IF Design Award, the Taiwan Gold Dot Award, the Chinese Design Wisdom Award, the Silver Award, the Display China Crystal Kirin China Award and the Chinese Red Star Award, there are more than 150 professional competitions such as AD Andi China Design New Star. His works have participated in Milan Furniture Fair in Italy, Stockholm Furniture Fair in Sweden, Design Shanghai, Design Spring and other exhibitions for more than 60 times.
