The theme of this design is "Dragon Rise and Tide, and Music", inspired by the legendary Kowloon story. As the patron saint and auspicious beast, Kowloon symbolizes people's yearning and prayer for a better life. We use Jinchao 8 Lane as the stage to depict the magnificent scene of Kowloon rising here, conveying the unique charm of the blend of tradition and modernity.
In terms of design, we cleverly abstract the local characteristic buildings, combine modern art language with traditional stories, and create the main visual image with both visual impact and cultural depth. Through unique color and composition, we have tailored a picture full of vitality and hope for Jinchao 8 Lane, showing its unique temperament as a cultural landmark.
In the design, we fully respect the local architectural features, with gold and silver as the main colors, conveying people's good expectations and blessings for the New Year. Kowloon with brilliant colors on the paper, showing the joy and vitality of the New Year, symbolizing prosperity and auspiciousness.
The poster is cleverly integrated into the space of the old Shanghai architecture, forming a strong visual contrast, which not only retains the heavy sense of history, but also injects a modern fashion atmosphere. Especially integrated with the elements of Chinese calligraphy, the theme of "dragon rising tide, harmony and harmony" is written with powerful strokes, showing the profound beauty of traditional culture. At the same time, the English font uses a very modern sans-serif font, and the simple and smooth lines form a clever echo with calligraphy, which not only highlights the collision between tradition and contemporary, but also gives the design an international fashion temperament. This blend of old and new design language, not only highlights the cultural heritage, but also radiates a unique artistic charm.
Xiuzi is the chief manager and design director of MEEM HOUSE. She studied editing and design at Utrecht Academy of Arts in the Netherlands as a graduate student. After graduation, she carried out visual planning and design for many domestic and foreign brands, and at the same time deeply participated in cross-border cooperation related to lifestyle. In recent years, she has been committed to the research and practice of public culture and art space guide design. Her works with her studio include the annual visual design of Sinan Mansion, the logo guide design of Xujiahui Academy, the logo guide design of Duoyun Academy, etc. She has won design awards including Italian A'Design Design Award, Dutch Frame Awards,Award 360 100 of the Year and French DNA Design Award.
