"Cybernetics Blooming Inside of Me 」. In this series of works, Hengdi narrates the process of gradually transforming and returning to nature by the alienation of science and technology, and aims to discuss a philosophical proposition to reflect on the relationship between man and nature. His visual inspiration comes from H.R. Giger's artistic and colorful designs for Alien Alien in 1979 and Species Alien in 1995. His works deeply implement the artistic concept of biomechanics. In this HENGDI WANG's first high-definition fashion and accessories series, Wang Hengdi reinterpreted many classic elements, such as the face-holding worm, the armor of the space jockey, the alien outer rib-shaped breastplate, the raised spine, the mother worm egg, etc. I hereby extend my high respect and deep memory to the hall-level artist H.R. Giger, who died on the 10th anniversary of this year.
At the same time, the series shows the symbiosis and opposition between man and nature, man and technology. With the development of the series, the design gradually turned to the inside: the metal "skin" gradually replaced the external skeleton, and the alien "feather" blurred the boundary between man and nature. In the end, the skeleton is hidden in the clothing, symbolizing the process of returning to nature from science and technology. The printing design of clothing not only contains the metaphor of nature, but also conveys the complex relationship between science and technology and nature through contrast and reconstruction. The printing details of each set of clothing are like animal skin, which not only captures the wildness and texture of life in nature, but also shows the interdependence of life and environment.
In this rapidly changing world, designers remind us to think about whether human beings have lost their awe and respect for nature in the process of pursuing technology and civilization, and whether they have hidden themselves under the appearance of "evolution". The oblivion of its own essence. "When technology gradually penetrates our bodies and lives, is it changing us, or are we reinventing ourselves through it?"
As the hometown where Hengdi grew up, the designer Hengdi always thinks about China's social and environmental issues. The SS25 series, for example, discusses the alienation and influence of contemporary technology on people. At the same time, HENGDI WANG emphasizes the brand's philosophy of "all laws are like illusion", which comes from traditional Chinese Taoism. For example, SS25 series shows the temporary illusion between the appearance and reality created by human beings through clothing and accessories. Designers use the spine-an important central structure of the human body-to design an exposed metal "organ", which symbolizes the excessive demand and possessiveness of natural resources under the coercion of science and technology. Alien organs represent the artificial creations constructed by human beings. Although the surface is beautiful and grand, it is fragile and short-lived. These scientific and technological achievements are just a temporary control of nature by human beings. In the end, all creations will be attributed to illusion.

In October 2024, HENGDI WANG brand was supported by Labelhood Lei Hu and released SS25 haute couture and jewelry series in Shanghai Fashion Week. The series received attention and reports from major media at home and abroad. Hengdi was also rated as one of the most noteworthy breakthrough designers by VOGUE Singapore. With strong visual aesthetics and avant-garde design, HENGDI WANG's first fashion series has received cooperation invitations from artists such as Lady Gaga, Rosalia, Grimes, Fka twigs, Nick Knights, Ciara, Dove Cameron, and other artists, as well as Wang Hedi (Dylan Wang), Miyavi Ishihara, Dou Jingtong (Leah Dou), Zhang Yuanying (Jang) and other artists-fashion accessories. At the same time, Hengdi Wang's past works have cooperated with VOGUE China, VOGUE Italia,VOGUE Singapore, VOGUE Adria,ELLE, Harper's Bazaar, Forbes and other first-line media.
At the same time Hengdi was nominated as Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 in January 2025.
