naze naze works program project introduction
naze naze dali series uses the local traditional flower-picking technique of dali, guizhou, and the blue thread dyed with southern plate blue, a local dali plant.
In Italy, the sisters recorded and narrated in the language of weaving. The pattern on the fabric comes from the most common items in life, such as snakeskin and octagonal. Designers also used this expression in design and development. When doing pattern design, they chose the most widely spread pattern in Italy as the basic element to record the current popularity of Italian fabrics.
naze naze dali series is designed by local collection and weaving in cooperation with the local weaver girl of dali dong village in guizhou, and finally returns to shanghai to make items that can be used for a long time in daily life: bags, pillows, cushions, health-preserving hammers, sandbags, etc.
Using the traditional process of picking flowers and blue dyeing in Dali, Guizhou, all blue yarns are dyed by the cooperative weaver girl using the indigo paste made from the locally grown southern plate blue.
Pick-flower (pick-flower) is a kind of weaving method of traditional flower cloth, which is often seen in the textiles of Miao and Dong people in Guizhou. Compared with the flower picking skills elsewhere, the flower cloth picked out in Dali village is still very unique because of the different textile machines. Weaving habits are different from place to place, and the Italian picker uses a long stainless steel picker. The naze naze design fabric is wider than the local custom.

Since 2015, naze naze has been carrying out the local weaving cooperation project. We pay attention to the growth of each individual in the local project and provide a fair income for the weaver girl. According to the local production rhythm and living habits, we cooperate with the weaver girls in weaving without affecting their daily farm work and housework. On the basis of local traditional fabrics, we design textiles that are more in line with the daily use and aesthetic of the moment. The profits from the project are used to support the sustainable development of the project, as well as to give back to the Weaver Girl and the local community.
Dali Dong Village is located in Rongjiang County, Guizhou Province. Women in Dong Village still have the habit of weaving. They buy primary color cotton thread to weave and dye into cloth and make clothes for themselves and their families. naze naze launched a local weaving cooperation project in 2019 to explore local handmade Dong cloth weaving skills. The designer found exquisite flower-picking cloth in the old cloth in the weaver's home. The ancient and complicated flower-picking process is still continued on the weaving machine of Dali's sister.
In 2024, with the theme of "weaving a piece of cloth for the family", we held a weaving competition in four leagues, hoping to connect people with different cultures and life backgrounds through weaving. A total of 281 works and 133 weavers were shortlisted. We held a "gathering of weaving friends" in Dalidong village. Weaving girls from the four projects of naze naze gathered in Dalidong village with textile experts and weaving friends at home and abroad to participate in awards, exhibitions, lectures and other activities to exchange weaving culture.
naze naze from the Dulong language naze naze jora-slowly weaving cloth. The fabric studio naze naze was established in 2020, looking for areas that still retain the tradition of handmade textiles, weaving fabrics in cooperation with local women, and making daily necessities that can be used for a long time with designs that conform to the current lifestyle. Starting from the Dulong River Project in Yunnan Province starting in 2015, the cooperation between naze naze and weavers continues to Dali in Guizhou, Russia in Sichuan and Menglian in Yunnan. The profits from the project are used to support the sustainable development of the project, as well as to give back to the Weaver Girl and the local community.
