The concept film takes "fearless journey" as the theme, focusing on the inheritance and development of vitality and culture. Inspired by the nomadic spirit of Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia, this series of designs combines traditional culture, outdoor sports and deformable modular design methods, combined with clean energy technologies, such as solar panels, inflatable insulation materials and environmentally friendly fabrics, to express the exploration of sustainable fashion.
The film runs through the theme with a Kyrgyz narration:
"A free life comes from fearless exploration,
The rhythm of life comes from the firmness of the soul,
Grow, calm, and never stop.
Embrace nature, renew, create,

Concept paragraph 1
This is a conceptual multifunctional jacket inspired by the spirit of Kyrgyzstan's nomadism. It combines traditional cultural patterns with modern technology, and integrates traditional patterns into design details through digital innovation. The clothing adopts modular design, which can be gradually expanded from a simple vest to a long coat covered by the whole body to meet the needs of multiple scenes. A solar panel is embedded in the back to provide clean energy for charging the phone, and the LED light strip provides light for night activities. The built-in inflatable long waistcoat can not only keep warm, but also inflate support, forming a small cloak for one person. Accessories are made of waterproof, sunscreen and reflective materials to enhance fashion sense and functionality. The design uses a modular structure, which can gradually stack components from a simple short jacket to a large jacket with a huge backpack on the back. All components are connected by zippers and are equipped with detachable down parts for flexible response to temperature changes. Inspired by the moss pattern of Kyrgyzstan's open-pit rock painting museum, it symbolizes the infinite vitality of traditional culture and is applied to the decoration of clothing details to add a sense of fashion. Fabric selection of leather, waterproof functional materials, ultra-light down, digital printing fabric and translucent TPU material, to create a rich texture contrast. This video shows the disassembly and assembly process of the two multi-functional concept models, explaining the flexibility and functionality of the modular design. Through gradual deduction, the video shows the process of clothing changing from simple basic vest to multi-functional outdoor equipment by gradually adding components.
The first design shows how to gradually expand from a sleeveless vest to a full-function jacket with inflatable warmth, shielding and charging functions through modular components combined with zipper connection technology. The back is embedded with solar panels to provide clean energy support, while the bottom is equipped with detachable components to enhance the practicality and adaptability of the garment.
The second design emphasizes the concept of super disassembly, gradually assembling from a simple short coat into a wide and long coat, and integrating the flexible design of detachable backpack and multi-level components. Through innovative structure and adjustable function, it can meet the needs of different temperatures, scenes and wearing.
Garments-Ultra Light Sleeping Bag Down Jacket
This is an ultra-light down jacket designed for outdoor camping, combining the functions of a jacket with a sleeping bag. Through innovative structural design, the bottom detachable component can not only become a sleeping bag, but also be used as a shawl or large scarf, giving the garment a variety of styling options. The coat supports two-sided wear design, with different colors and patterns inside and outside, providing more matching possibilities. The inner pattern is based on the traditional pattern generated by digital. Users can choose a customized version according to their personal preferences to achieve personalized needs and meet campers' dual pursuit of function and style.
Rewear-Removable thermal jacket
This is a detachable ready-to-wear design with a variety of wearing as the core. It aims to help consumers easily achieve rich wearing effects through a flexible modular structure, and can present a variety of styles without additional matching. The coat can be changed from a long waistcoat to a short-sleeved or long-sleeved coat to adapt to different scenes and wearing needs. The neckline adopts a fake two-piece design, which is both simple and layered. The waistcoat is equipped with a folding camping chair bracket, and the user can disassemble the back assembly into a portable chair, which provides convenience for outdoor rest.
"FEARLESS JOURNEY" deformable multi-functional series clothing design supplementary materials
This series of works is based on the "Belt and Road" cultural exchange project, inspired by the magnificent natural scenery and nomadic spirit of Kyrgyzstan, and explores the deep integration of traditional culture and future design. The series includes two parts: multi-functional conceptual outdoor clothing and urban light outdoor leisure sports clothing. It is positioned in gender-free design, combines naturalism, futurism and waste soil style, and takes the balance of functionality and aesthetics as the core to convey the design concept of sustainable fashion.
Design concept
The core principle of this series is sustainability, reducing resource consumption and overconsumption through innovative materials and multifunctional structures. Use clean energy technologies, such as solar panels to provide charging and lighting functions for equipment; use inflatable technology to replace traditional fillers, which not only reduces material use but also improves warmth retention; and extend the life cycle of clothing through a multi-wear design method. In addition, the introduction of modular and detachable components allows the garment to easily adapt to multi-scene and multi-temperature requirements, further reducing the need for redundant clothing.
At the cultural level, the design draws inspiration from the moss patterns of the Issek Lake Open Rock Painting Hall, and transforms traditional cultural symbols into modern patterns and applies them to clothing details through digital technology. Users can also customize digital patterns according to their personal preferences to achieve a deep combination of personalization and cultural heritage.
In terms of color, it is dominated by earth colors and neutral tones to create a new futuristic atmosphere. The silhouette and structure combine rock-inspired wide tailoring with practical outdoor styling, complemented by modular pockets and innovative techniques to emphasize the layering and functionality of the garment.

Liu An, PhD, Lecturer, School of Future Design, Beijing Normal University, member of China Fashion Designers Association, research interests in sustainable fashion, slow fashion, design and positive psychology, and fashion brand management.
