Wang Shunyu's art project book "Rui, is semi-permanent" design instructions:
Based on last year's Hong Kong Tea Painting Exhibition project "Rui, Semi-permanent", Wang Shunyu published the text/circle image research and individual experience of Hong Kong's planted animals. This book uses the framework of a hardcover book to express this serious topic, but it is analyzed and disassembled with soft and perceptual cloth tapes under its shell. Originally, hardcover books would have such a structure to fix the cover and pages, semi-naked and semi-permanent. The binding ceremony of tying knots and untying echoes the actions of packing books and flowers. The contents of the cloth belt are the manuscripts and notes of murmuring. The cover is especially like a greeting card for Hong Kong flowers. The inner page of the naked outfit uses three different types of paper to express the aesthetic appearance and texture of the text, inspiration, process and different physical and mental feelings at each stage of the work; the neatly scattered text/picture typesetting is also the artistic expression of the artist's sense and sensibility.
Based on the last Hong Kong tea project, Wang published books around plants, personal experiences and historical documents. These contents seem to be mixed together by artists, forming ambiguous words like whispers.
Culture: For outsiders, the personal experience of immigrants and the documents submerged in Hong Kong's long history can be mysterious and unknowable. Enter the stories behind Shun Yu's writing of such texts to understand and spy on the dark and ambiguous things hidden behind the books.
Social environment: use design methods to transform and express the text/circle image research and individual experience of animals planted in Hong Kong.
