The Blade of Venus (source of inspiration/design process, etc.)
This work is three sets of wearable accessories, using laser cutting and beading technology, combining traditional technology and modern technology, presenting a unique artistic effect. The work is based on the relationship between mantis and women. Venus, as the goddess of love and beauty, traditionally symbolizes women's softness, elegance and charm. Female praying mantises are known for their unique hunting methods and habits that can kill their mates after mating, and are seen as a symbol of strength, independence and even cruelty. When the female image is combined with the mantis attack behavior, there is a strong contrast and conflict. This contrast is the embodiment of the core idea of this work of art. We use fabrics to explore the identity and status of women in tradition and role. The complexity of suggesting that women are both gentle and elegant and strong and decisive. This is not only a celebration of female power, but also a reflection and breaking of gender stereotypes.
Modular design thinking emphasizes the construction of complex systems through independent, combinable modular units. In this work, each set of wearable accessories is composed of multiple small modules, which can not only be spliced and combined according to personal preferences, but also flexibly adjusted according to different wearing needs. This design not only greatly enhances the individualization and diversification of the work, but also makes each module play an independent and organic role in artistic creation. The modular design concept complements the core idea of the work-the multiple identities and complexity of women.
In the framework of sustainable design, modular design has significant advantages. Each module can be produced independently, reducing material waste and unnecessary resource consumption. The accuracy of laser cutting technology also ensures the efficient use of each module, making the production process more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient. In addition, the restructurability of the modular design makes the jewelry more adaptable in the process of wearing, and can be adjusted and transformed according to personal needs, which enhances the practicality and commercial value of the work. Through this design method, the work not only pays attention to the artistry and creativity, but also has a stronger market adaptability and sustainability.
The artist team, in charge of the line Qianwen, the team focuses on exploring the diversity of materials in the field of fashion, and is committed to promoting sustainable design and innovation. The works usually adopt modular design thinking, aiming to create fashion works with both artistic value and environmental protection principles, breaking the boundaries of traditional fashion design, and promoting the development of the fashion industry in a more environmentally friendly and personalized direction. The combination of innovative design and materials makes fashion not only a medium for expressing individuality and beauty, but also an important force for sustainable social change.
