On the behavior metaphor, the touch switch of dot-wipe type symbolizes the makeup technique of sketching oblique red. The start-up form of the rotary opening and closing is reminiscent of the opening of the trousseau. The pale pink light in the middle of the cigarette machine can dynamically change according to the wind force, and evoke natural and humanistic visual perception in a non-digital way of expression.

In view of the absence of traditional adornment culture in the context of modern design, this work is based on metaphor design theory and integrates traditional adornment elements into the framework of product design. By constructing the metaphorical association between makeup behavior and product interaction, cultural symbols such as makeup face, makeup shape and makeup color are embedded in intelligent kitchen electrical products. While giving the cultural meaning of kitchen electric products, focusing on the aesthetic needs and emotional value response of modern female users provides theoretical support and practical path for the cultural translation and application of traditional aesthetics in the field of modern product design.
Boss Electric and the China Academy of Art launched an industry-university-research project with the theme of "China's New Kitchen" to explore the future cooking space and kitchen appliance product form from the perspective of "science and technology humanities", as well as the expression of "Oriental Wisdom Beauty" based on the local aesthetic context. In the process of design and development, the design program of "Oriental intellectual aesthetics" is put forward around the two dimensions of technical rationality and humanistic sensibility.
Among them, the female kitchen and electric product set with the theme of "dianjiang" developed by the author team, combined with the previous research data, focuses on the "her economy" market in the kitchen and electric field and its corresponding portraits of users, tries to cut in from the makeup culture, excavates the aesthetic commonality of women from the traditional oriental culture, tries to metaphor the product behavior of makeup and modern kitchen and electric interaction, and completes the interpretation of the contemporary Chinese kitchen aesthetics.
In the early stage of research, we used a variety of methods, such as questionnaire survey, in-depth interviews with users, market competition and so on, to fully understand the current situation of "her economy" in the current kitchen electricity market and its corresponding user population characteristics. The survey results show that with the improvement of women's social status and economic independence, their role in the kitchen is no longer just a traditional housewife, but a modern young woman who pays more attention to the quality of life and independent aesthetics. The needs of these female users for kitchen electrical products, in addition to the basic functionality, pay more attention to the aesthetic value of the product, emotional sustenance and the fit with cultural identity.
The survey found that, in addition to functional requirements such as product scale and ease of operation, the emotional feedback of kitchen and electric products and the identity value identity created by product CMF are also the focus of this group. Therefore, the emotional value response of female users should be taken as one of the main design strategies. Based on the research results, we have determined the design goal of the female kitchen electric product set group with the theme of "Point Jiang": taking the traditional makeup culture as the inspiration source, combining the makeup action with the modern kitchen electric interaction mode through metaphor design technique, and focusing on the emotional value response of the group on the basis of perfecting the functional requirements of women's friendliness.
In terms of the feasibility of the design method, we analyze the elements, symbols and rituals in the traditional decoration culture, and extract the metaphor points that can be combined with modern kitchen and electric products. In the makeup application process, four specific actions of point, application, opening and hook are extracted from the behaviors of point crimson lips, hook oblique red, apply pink and daider, and open trousseau, which respectively correspond to the functions of touch switch, data dynamic display, structure opening and closing mode, fire adjustment, etc., thus constructing new epitaxial behavior semantics. For example, the touch action of lighting lips and the touch switch of kitchen electric products, the gesture operation of hook red and the sliding operation of adjusting fire parameters, etc., constitute a behavioral metaphor relationship with each other. At the same time, the concept of intelligent materials and interactive CMF is developed, and the temperature trace of gesture operation and the temperature change of the stove in the cooking process are used as response variables to present the dynamic changes of makeup colors such as crimson, cinnabar and pink in the temperature-sensitive discoloration interactive interface. Based on the social attributes of the material, it functions in a broader social, cultural and environmental context. The practical application of these product metaphor relationships and material innovation in design not only aims to reduce the user's learning cost and improve the ease of use of the product, but also expects that the user will use the product in the process of using the product by the implicit operation behavior, echoing the commonality of the semantics of traditional makeup culture and cooking behavior-the creation of beauty.
With the increasingly fierce market competition and the continuous upgrading of consumer demand, purely functional and technology-driven kitchen electrical products have been difficult to occupy the minds of users in the market. The integration of cultural elements and the promotion of emotional value may become an emerging track that constitutes product differentiation. To sum up, the combination of traditional adornment culture and modern kitchen and electric products through metaphorical design is not only a practical attempt to translate traditional aesthetics in the contemporary era, but also a new perspective for enterprises to broaden their market space through the production, teaching and research platform built by schools and enterprises.
